Saugeen Conservation has released its report cards for the Saugeen River Watershed.
Brockton lies within 3 of the Saugeen’s subwatersheds and the Upper Main Saugeen River Subwatershed (Marl Lakes) seems to be faring better than the Lower Main Saugeen River Subwatershed (Walkerton & Brant Wards) and Teeswater River Subwatersheds (Greenock Ward).
The Report Cards grade our local environment on four major categories: forests, wetlands as well as surface water and ground water quality.
Have you noticed changes to these areas in your corner of Brockton? Do you think these grades are fair? What can we do to improve them, or are we already doing enough?
